Ralo, the First AI-native Mortgage Broker, Has Funded More Than $8M in Loans for Texas Home Buyers in 2026

By eliminating intermediaries, Ralo is saving Texas home buyers an average of $60K

NEW YORK, Sept. 15, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Ralo, the first AI-native mortgage broker, announced today that in the last six months, it has funded more than $8M in loans for Texas home buyers and saved them tens of thousands of dollars in the process.

Buying a home is one of the most expensive purchases a consumer will ever make. Today, borrowers have trouble securing good deals on mortgage rates because of the convoluted, inefficient processes in place and multiple intermediaries involved who charge hefty margins. Outdated, labor-intensive mortgage processes cost lenders nearly $11,800 per loan, and borrowers are the ones paying due to higher rates and fees.

Ralo leverages AI to shop for the best deals across a number of different lenders, and cut out all of the intermediaries who take hefty commissions (including loan officers, loan processors, and underwriters). This means Ralo secures rates that are up to 0.6% lower than the national average, saving customers tens of thousands of dollars. And, while most lenders take on average 30-45 days to close a mortgage, Ralo can do it on average in 19 days - twice as fast..

The company is on average 4x less expensive than other brokers, closes mortgages 2x faster, and delivers a radically more efficient experience through automation and its AI loan officer.

Harish, a home buyer in Texas shared, “Being from a mortgage industry myself, I went in skeptical, but Ralo proved me wrong. They offered the best rate I could find anywhere. I shopped around with the top 5 mortgage lenders, and no one could beat what Ralo offered.”

Danika, another Texas home buyer, said “With Ralo, my loan was ready to close more than a WEEK EARLY. None of the other mortgage providers I was considering could come close to the rate Ralo locked in for me. They saved me nearly 100K on my loan. They have cut out so many of the middleman expenses and they pass the savings on to borrowers.”

Ralo was founded by former Google Product Manager Arjun Lalwani and former Google software engineer and Goldman Sachs quant Helly Shah. They had both faced first-hand the confusing process of homebuying and securing a mortgage.

"It’s exciting for us to work with Texas home buyers, many of them first time buyers, and pass on significant savings directly to them,” said Ralo’s Lalwani. “By using AI, Ralo is more operationally efficient and can deliver personalized, white glove support for borrowers. We are eliminating the middlemen who take fees and make the process more costly and convoluted than necessary, and are delivering tens of thousands of dollars in savings to our customers.”
